FAQ

What can I expect on a Yoga-Art retreat?

Our retreats are held in different countries such as: Indonesia, Morocco, France, Hungary, Spain, Peru, India, Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Australia, etc. Our retreats are hidden from society and surrounded by nature but we make sure the biggest comfort possible is granted for the body.

You will be able to explore mysterious ancient sites, charming colonial towns, gorgeous landscapes, delicious cuisine, world-class spas, remarkable indigenous wisdom. Every country has very different energy levels though. We therefore adopt individual schedules and itineraries for each. Please check our calendar for the dates.

Do I need yoga experience?

We welcome participants of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced yogis. Yoga retreats are not just for active yogis who practice every day, highly experienced and extremely flexible. Our retreats offer opportunities for growth and new experience, no matter how much time you have spent (or haven’t spent yet) on your mat. Regardless, we suggest keeping an open mind and trying out practices that might be new to you.

Can I go on a Retreat by myself?

Yes! A lot of our participants come alone and often leave with lifelong friends. We all started as (and keep being – from time to time -) lone travellers. If you’re traveling alone, a yoga retreat is the best way to meet new people with similar interests in a safe environment. And you already have something in common with the people around you: the love of yoga!

How many people will be on the retreats?

We work in small and intimate sized groups during the retreat to be able to give the best of our attention to everyone. Our teachers are highly-qualified and devoted souls. Our groups are joyful, we love to have fun and to be open-minded to exchange thoughts. Group sizes may depend on which trip you are joining, but generally you can expect 10 to 15 people.

What kind of food can I expect?

Healthy and organic food is a part of the retreat experience. The cuisine is simple, delicious and local, using fresh ingredients from organic gardens and local markets.

On some retreats our meals are strictly vegetarian. By your personal choice you do not need to be a vegetarian in your every day life, but during the retreat we demand that you follow a vegetarian diet. Please check each retreat description for the given specifics.

What should I bring?

Please see trip description for the specific list of items we recommend, but you should generally bring: yoga mat, sunscreen, warm clothes for the nights, photo camera and we always include on the list: smile and peace!

Do I need to book my own flight or arrange my own transfer?

You are responsible for booking your own flight. We always indicate in the description of each trip which airport is the most suitable to arrive. It is also always stated  wether there is a transport from the airport included in the price or not. Even if it’s not, we always offer to arrange it for you for an additional fee. If you’d prefer this option, please contact us for more details.

What should I know about the cancellation policy?

If cancellation takes place more than 21 days prior to your departure date any payments made will be refunded minus your deposit and a 250 EUR per person administrative fee. If cancellation takes place within 14 days prior to your departure, the full price of the trip will be forfeited, no exceptions.
Deposits already payed are transferable to another Yoga-Art Retreat.

We reserve the right to cancel retreats with inadequate participant interest, in which case all money paid to Yoga-Art Retreat will be refunded. Notification of cancellation will occur at least 1 month prior to retreat start date.

Payment conditions

Please contact us directly if you are interested in a payment plan or if you would prefer alternative conditions for booking and paying (for example booking in e-mail and paying through bank wire transfer, etc.) We want to make our trips accessible to as many people as possible and are open to different solutions.
