Shamanic Healing & Adventure Retreat

OVERVIEW

This special Shamanic Retreat will take place in a magical, calm, luxurious oasis of Essaouira.

Crenellated walls, special wind, houses with white and blue facades, Essaouira, the ancient Mogador is the “Bride of the Atlantic”.
It is one of those coastal cities where the unique atmosphere and water activities seamlessly blend. Walk quietly in the shade of its ramparts, climb these walls and take the parapet walk, from where you can see the Purpuraires Islands, falcons, gulls and seagulls hovering above this nature reserve. On the other side, surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers are taming the waves, taking advantage from the wind.

A walk can lead you to the fishing port where the sailors are active. Get to the fish market where to taste the fish and seafood caught during the night. In the center of the city, the medina invites you on a discovery wander into its winding alley. Ranked as the most beautiful cities in Morocco by UNESCO, the city hums to the beat of music every summer: the Gnaoua festival celebrates Afro-Maghrebin rhythms making people’s stays memorable ones.

In the busy heart of the city is the best place to experience the wonderful ambience and delight in the performances of musicians, dancers, acrobats, drummers, comedians and storytellers unweaving elaborate tales of adventure and mystery through their art forms. The medina itself is formatted of its colorful souks where you can smell the flavor of olives and thousands of spices in the air. You might find yourself in a real time-travel where donkeys, ancient sounds are making you fly on a magic carpet.

Hidden away from the crowded souks, Samsara will revitalize your body and soul in a very unique way. Through yoga, meditation and shamanic practices we will guide you into a memorable adventure.

SCHEDULE

June 28
Arrival to Marrakech, transfer to your accommodation, dinner and overnight in Marrakech

June 29
At 9 am after a delicious local breakfast we take the road to the countryside of Essaouira (3,5 h), where you can relax in the magical gardens or by the pool. In the evening we enjoy a traditional vegetarian dinner at the kasbah and we have a good rest to save our energies for the magical journey of the next day.

June 30
7 am – light breakfast, then later we prepare for the shamanic ceremony (from 10 am – 12 am)

July 1
After the breakfast around 10 am we will share our experiences of the shamanic journey then later we take the road to the old village of Essaouira. We explore the village, then we have a delicious dinner in the medina and we will spend the night in a beautiful traditional riad.

July 2
After breakfast we explore the heritage site, free program in the afternoon and closing dinner.

July 3
We hit the road back to Marrakech and fly back to Budapest.

ACCOMMODATIONS

You will be staying in a beautifully designed Moroccan villa and oasis where beauty meets art and vision. You will be able to relax, enjoy the sunny gardens and pamper yourself in the swimming pool, or enjoy to Sun at the rooftop terrace. Each room is comfortable and beautifully decorated in a traditional style.

CUISINE

Healthy and organic food is a part of the retreat experience. The cuisine is simple, delicious and local, using fresh ingredients from the organic gardens and local markets. According to our shamanic diet, until 1^st July we will experience the local vegetarian cusine. Later on we are free to explore all what the sea or land has to offer.

30% deposit must be paid to secure your reservation.

* Prices based on shared or triple occupancy.
** A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price until 10 May.

The deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled of your part. If the retreat is cancelled of the part of Samsara, your full deposit will be refunded.
The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival by cash or bank wire transfer

WEATHER

Weather in June is warm and sunny by day, but gets a bit chilly in the evening, so please bring warm clothes for night. The temperature in Essaouira is around 27°C in the evening and 15°C by night.

Please book your flight to arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). We will send a driver to pick you up from the airport. Your pick-up is included in the price.
